Who We Are

Established by FOR Cardiff in 2018, City of Arcades promotes Cardiff as a unique retail and leisure destination by raising awareness of the seven Victorian and Edwardian arcades in the heart of the Welsh capital.

Once Victorian era shopping districts, Cardiff’s arcades have become a hub for independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Often referred to as the jewel in Cardiff’s crown, the arcades are filled with architectural wonders, fascinating history and delicious cuisine.

From guided walking tours to the annual City of Arcades Day event, there are many ways to discover Cardiff, the City of Arcades.

  • FOR Cardiff is the Business Improvement District for Cardiff - a private not for profit organisation that works on behalf of businesses to enhance Cardiff city centre. Find out more at www.forcardiff.com

  • No. The units in the arcades are managed by private landlords and management agencies such as the Morgan Quarter and the Castle Quarter. City of Arcades is brand created to promote Cardiff and its businesses.
