Keep the Faith Social Club

14-16 Royal Arcade

Just like many of the independent businesses found in Cardiff’s historic arcades, Keep The Faith is all about giving their customers the best experience possible.

Shaun Gibbs, owner of the award-winning barber and tattoo parlour, said the Royal Arcade was the perfect location for his brand.

Although they have a host of accolades for their barber and tattoo services, Shaun makes it clear that it’s all about creating the best experience possible.

“I think what comes across with all of us, is we want to make sure that you're not just getting a basic service, you get the best you can for your money. We can brag about winning award, but ultimately, we understand that the only service that matters is yours.

We love being in the arcades because of our independent feel. We're not a big business – we’re not funded and backed, but the arcades allow us to express ourselves stylistically and fit in with everything around us.

The arcades are extremely attractive for clients and customers to walk through. The arcades of Cardiff have been a historical trademark of the city for a long time and I think they always will be.”

Keep The Faith opened in 2013 and Shaun is hopeful people will support Cardiff’s arcades following the tough year for businesses.

“Of course, being an independent means that we have our ups and downs. But on the good days, we make people happy, and that’s what matters. That’s what it’s all about.

“We've got a good relationship with all the other stores here in the Royal Arcade. We're all in the same boat, we're all independent traders who are there to support each other. That feel of community is part of why Cardiff’s arcades are immensely special.”
